Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ranchi is the premier government medical institution in Jharkhand and one of the leading medical colleges in eastern India. Originally established as Rajendra Medical College Hospital in 1960, it was upgraded to an autonomous institute under the Government of Jharkhand in 2002 and renamed Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS). The institute is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and is affiliated with Ranchi University.
