Government Medical College (GMC), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (formerly Aurangabad) is one of the oldest and most prestigious government medical colleges in Maharashtra. Established on 15 August 1956, the college has a long-standing reputation for excellence in medical education, patient care, and research. It is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik and is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). Commonly known as "Ghati Medical College", it is a major referral center for the entire Marathwada region.
