Faculty of Ayurveda, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University is one of the oldest and most prestigious Ayurvedic institutions in India, located inside the main campus of Banaras Hindu University.

It is a government Ayurvedic faculty that works under BHU’s Institute of Medical Sciences and is recognized by NCISM. The institute is known for combining traditional Ayurveda with modern medical science and research-based education.

Established in early 20th century (around 1920s development phase)
Developed from Ayurvedic teaching departments into a full faculty under BHU
