The college was established on 1 July 2008 under the Government of Gujarat's Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana. It was initially established under Navsari Agricultural University and later became part of the veterinary education system under Kamdhenu University.

B.V.Sc. & A.H.

The B.V.Sc. & A.H. programme is of 5½ years duration as per the Veterinary Council of India norms. The current approved intake is 80 seats, comprising 68 State seats and 12 VCI seats, with additional provisions for Kashmiri Migrant and Parsi candidates as specified by the university.

Admission to the undergraduate programme is based on NEET-UG merit.
