Government Medical College (GMC), Amravati is one of the newest government medical colleges in Maharashtra, established in 2024 to strengthen medical education and healthcare services in the Vidarbha region. The college is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik and is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). It is attached to the upgraded District Women Hospital (Dufferin Campus) and associated government hospitals, providing students with early clinical exposure.
